Ron Berger and Expeditionary Learning

Today, I had the pleasure of attending a CLAS professional development session in Birmingham featuring Mr. Ron Berger; educator, author, and Chief Academic Officer of EL Education. I had recently read a book he coauthored entitled Leaders of Their Own Learning, and I wanted to hear more from the man himself in a public forum. There was a lot of information to digest, and even more examples to consider. He offered video evidence of successful students in action as well as some data showing impressive test score increases. We were even able to critique the writing of some of his former students as we considered the "expeditionary learning" process.
